Friends come and go just like the stars in the sky

And all the people kill Jesus every day

They kill him in the church, in intellectual search
They kill him on the road, in almost every home
They call it Christianity, but it is not

It is pre-primitive, not even primitive
Good for yesterday’s yesterday, but not today
They think they are pious, golden ring in the face of a pig

With reasons like a child, insanity going wild
With a moral like a robot ‘cause they read it in a book
It’s second or third hand knowledge, it’s not first

I’m dying of thirst, my brain’s gonna burst
They think they found the truth but live in opposite of truth
They’re not tired of animal-like behaviour yet

And I haven’t found my way yet, looking for it every day
I know that I don’t know a shit and I can see
That they don’t know a shit, too, but how they think they know!

They don’t need much truth, that’s for sure
What they need is a big lie in order to feel secure
And then they can live their lives happily

What they believe in has become the truth
And not a way to get closer to the truth
And so their faith has become a wall which separates them from God

There they stand in the church and they sing very high
Like someone shitting, facial expressions, hands reaching to the sky
“Welcome to our church, be like us!”

And the ears that Jesus talked about
Can’t hear not even if the Lord Himself would shout
Upside down society, “In Lord we trust”

But this is no surprise, it’s just like this
For a while more
And then we can have peace at last – hurray!

Well until that day I’ll walk my way
And do my best in every way
